The Sacred Doorway

At the stop they wait in line

beneath the morning sky,

Each carrying a story

that only their hearts know why.

Then slowly comes the bus, to gracefully glide you away,

and gently comes to stay,

A doorway opens like a prayer,

inviting souls this way.

The driver here with an open heart,

not knowing what they bear.

The stranger carrying sorrow,

the dreamer lost in space.

But when the doors swing open,

there is welcome for all,

For every soul is sacred,

and every soul can tell.

“Come in,” the driver’s spirit says,

“Come share this journey here.

You do not walk alone,

you are welcome, you are near.”

Some enter with a smile,

some carry tears unseen,

Some have journeys filled with hope,

some walk through days of grief.

And still the doors stay open,

without judgment, without blame.

For love does not ask who you are,

or where you came from, or your name.

The wheels begin their turning,

the road unfolds ahead,

And for a little while, these lives

are travelling where they're led.

Perhaps the driver is more than

the keeper of the wheel

Perhaps he is a gentle hand

helping wounded spirits heal.

For every door we open

is a doorway into grace.

And every heart we welcome

may find a safer place.

So let the journey teach us

what the soul already knows:

When we open up the door,

we open up our hearts.

And somewhere on this journey,

when the final road is through,

May every soul remember

Someone opened the door

and welcomed me.

Someone saw me.

Someone cared.

Someone loved me

just because I was there.

Love A Mc
